After a below-par start, the film declined rather than grew, indicating that the audience had rejected the content. Considering the success of the first part, the film was expected to perform well at the Indian box office, but in reality, it has left everyone shocked. For the makers, it is heading to be one of the biggest failures. Keep reading for a detailed collection report of day 4! How much did Sardar 2 earn at the Indian box office in 4 days? The Tamil spy action thriller opened with 4.5 crore on day 1, followed by 2.45 crore on day 2. On day 3, it dropped further, scoring 2.2 crore . On the first Sunday, day 4, it saw marginal growth, adding another 2.45 crore to the kitty. Such collections show that the film was significantly affected by mixed-to-poor reviews and word-of-mouth. Overall, the film has earned 11.6 crore , which equals 13.69 crore gross. With this trend, it is heading towards a lifetime collection of below 20-25 crore net. Here’s the day-wise collection breakdown in India (net): Day 1 – 4.5 crore Day 2 – 2.45 crore Day 3 – 2.2 crore Day 4 – 2.45 crore Total – 11.6 crore Sardar 2 vs Sardar in the opening weekend In the 4-day extended opening weekend, Sardar 2 scored 11.6 crore net, which is much below its predecessor Sardar. Released in 2022, the first installment received a favorable audience response, helping it amass 17.78 crore net during the 3-day opening weekend. Three years later, the second installment scored 34.75% less, which is really shocking. Sardar did a business of 54.99 crore net during its lifetime run; on the other hand, Sardar 2 won’t even reach half of that. It’s a big box office flop! More about the film The spy action thriller is directed by PS Mithran and produced by S Lakshman Kumar and Ishan Saksena under the banner of Prince Pictures and IVY Entertainment. It also stars SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan , Ashika Ranganath, Rajisha Vijayan, and Nassar. It released in theaters on September 10. Stay tuned to Koimoi for more box office updates !
