Why did Windows 10 system restore delete my Arduino .ino files?
There are some .skip files of size 0kb. Is there any chance they will be restored?

Anonymous 2024-05-19T05:41:14+00:00 Hi Winston Salem1, Welcome to Microsoft Community. The Windows 10 System Restore feature is designed to revert your system to a previous state, which includes system settings, installed applications, Windows Registry, and system files. However, it does not typically affect personal files such as documents, pictures, or music. In your case, it seems that the Arduino .ino files were considered part of the system files or settings, and thus were affected by the System Restore. This could happen if the .ino files were saved in a directory that is monitored by System Restore. Another user on the Arduino forum had a similar issue. In that thread, some community members mentioned that some of the data may be stored in the %temp% directory. Another community member tried to undo a system restore.
