From the TickleGame Wiki “I have a hypothesis.” Julie is the title character and protagonist of Julie the Tickler and Julie 2: Mansion of Secrets . She is "the Tickler", the on-camera face and name of a tickling video business she runs with her partner Faye . In the first part of Julie 2, Julie questions the residents of the mansion to find out who the Host is. She then becomes the Host herself. She now runs the mansion and sends the other women on assignments. She is 22 in the first game and 26 in the second, four years later. She is the first playable character in the mansion, and the other women often mention that Julie did things first. Julie is most closely associated with a red look. In the first game her tool of choice is a red feather. In the mansion she carries herself with a confident, upright posture and dresses to stand out. Julie is confident, visible and comfortable being the center of attention. Her time as an on-camera creator gave her presence and a strong sense of how she looks to other people. She speaks in short, complete sentences. She tends to say what she is doing, for example "I have a hypothesis" or "I want to compare notes". She adjusts how she talks to each person. With Selene she frames things as arguments to be tested, with Amanda she talks in numbers and data, and with Nora she is gentler. She does not apologize for her work or pretend to be something else. When she loses, she stays composed and says she will be back. In Julie the Tickler, Julie is a senior psychology major. She discovered her talent for tickling in her junior year. By senior year she has been making money from tickling videos for about a year and a half under a stage name. Her family is professional and conventional, and she has never told them what she does. The business began with her roommate and partner, Faye . Faye noticed Julie's talent, saw that there was an online audience for it and volunteered to be the first person on camera. Their first test was filmed on a phone clamped to a borrowed tripod, with a cheap red feather. The videos that followed never showed Julie's face, and they were known for natural reactions and an amateur feel. Everyone who appeared in them knew what they were agreeing to. Story in Julie the Tickler Someone steals the videos and business records Julie and Faye keep in a private folder on the university's storage drive. The thief does not threaten a crime. The threat is exposure: they can tell the college and Julie's family who she is. Julie investigates the campus. Her trail runs through Nat , the campus IT worker Jen , Leah and Steph , and ends at a backstage meeting at a concert, where Jen, Steph and Helen trap her. The game ends with Julie tied to a chair but calm, negotiating, and her business continuing with new terms. The game also has secret content, including a secret level for Faye. Four years later, Julie is summoned to a house outside the city by an anonymous Host who knows her name, her address and her videos. The game begins with Julie's own storyline. She questions the women in the house one by one, starting with Selene in the office, Nora in the library and Amanda in the kitchen, and each gives her a piece of the puzzle about who the Host is. Once Julie finishes her storyline, the other residents become playable. The Host pushes each of them into a campaign of her own, questioning three other women for clues. After that, Julie confronts the Host and becomes the Host herself, and from then on she sends the others on assignments. Later updates added two-person scenes that Julie sets up, called duets, such as Jen and Helen in the lounge and Nora and Chloe in the library. They also added Eve , Amanda's cousin, a playable character who works through a list of assignments from Julie, passed on by Amanda, starting with Chloe , Beth and Val . Julie 2 ending (spoilers) The previous Host was Helen , the same Helen who trapped Julie at the concert four years earlier. Julie finds her in the dungeon, a basement room full of screens and cameras, and beats her there. Helen then gives Julie her place as Host. From then on Julie is the Host, and the later updates show her giving assignments to the other women. Jen , who ran the house with Helen, is later caught as well and made to work through the rest of the Host's list for Julie. Abilities and weaknesses Julie is the most experienced tickler in both games. Her signature tool is the feather , which she has from the start of Julie 2, and she is good at finding each opponent's sensitive spots. Her own ticklish areas, as shown in the game and in her chat character, are the soles of her feet and her neck and collar. She is most rattled when she is not in control of the situation. Other appearances Julie appears in the animated short Jen and Julie and in the music videos Ticklish and Nora , the latter alongside Nora . She also appears in stories in the Vault, the members' archive of stories, audio and videos, and has her own character in the TickleGame chat. Her online handle is TicklerQueen. The age gap between the two games is exactly four years. In chat she often ends a conversation that went well with "Same time tomorrow?", a line Sabrina also uses.
