ICCA, the global leader in the international business events industry, is proud to announce the host destinations for the next two ICCA Congresses. The 66th Congress will take place 24–27 October 2027 in Kigali, Rwanda, followed by the 67th ICCA Congress, which will be held 12–15 November 2028 in Muscat, Oman. ICCA is a truly global community, and the ICCA Congress reflects that. Each year, ICCA is committed to collaborating with different regions for this flagship event, which strengthens local business events communities, fosters new opportunities for global membership, and supports positive global impact. By selecting Kigali and Oman as the next host destinations, ICCA honours this mandate: bringing the Congress to new horizons, building meaningful regional legacies, bring diverse communities together and inviting the global community to experience and contribute to these vibrant locations. ICCA Congresses are more than just world-class, industry-leading events. The ICCA Congress is a platform for collaboration, transformation, business opportunities for members and shared growth. These future gatherings will strengthen ICCA’s collective impact and drive progress across the global business events industry. Dr. Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA, said: “ICCA is delighted to bring our Congress to Kigali in 2027 and Muscat in 2028. Both destinations exemplify the ambition, creativity, and commitment to excellence that define the global business events community. As ICCA continues to lead the business events industry forward, these Congresses will provide powerful platforms for collaboration, transformation, business opportunities for members and shared growth. We are incredibly excited for the journey ahead. Each Congress offers a unique opportunity for our community to unite, exchange ideas, and shape the future of our industry. Kigali and Muscat will help us elevate our global conversations to new heights.” Kigali, Rwanda: 24–27 October 2027 The 66th ICCA Congress marks a historic moment for ICCA and for the African continent. Hosted in Kigali, the Congress will bring together representatives from nations across the African continent, alongside top industry leaders, to focus on growth strategies, capacity building, and Africa’s expanding role in the global business events landscape. Recognised as one of Africa’s most dynamic and forward-looking meeting destinations, Kigali has rapidly established itself as a hub for international conferences and association events. With world-class infrastructure, a strong reputation for quality and efficiency, and a clear commitment to sustainability, Rwanda offers a powerful platform for meaningful dialogue and long-term impact. Janet Karemera, CEO, Rwanda Convention Bureau, said: “It is a great honour for Rwanda to host the ICCA Congress and to welcome the global association community back to Africa for the first time in twenty years. This historic occasion reflects the continent’s growing prominence and leadership within the international MICE industry. Made possible through the steadfast support of our partners and stakeholders, both local and regional, this milestone provides an important opportunity to offer distinguished experiences and to present, not only Rwanda’s capabilities but also the collective strength and potential of our regional partners.” The Kigali Congress will serve as a catalyst for pan-African collaboration, providing a space for destinations, associations, and industry stakeholders to align on strategies that strengthen Africa’s global competitiveness and unlock new opportunities for international business events. Muscat, Oman: 12–15 November 2028 The 67th ICCA Congress in Muscat will focus on community development, positioning Oman as a central meeting point connecting Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Strategically located and rich in cultural heritage, Muscat offers an ideal setting to bring together ICCA’s global community to strengthen relationships, foster collaboration, and shape the future of the industry across all areas of the world. With its expanding meetings infrastructure, strong hospitality culture, and growing international profile, Oman exemplifies how destinations can serve as bridges among markets, cultures, and ideas. The Muscat Congress will emphasise shared responsibility, cross-regional cooperation, and the power of community in driving sustainable industry growth. As ICCA continues to lead the global business events community, the 2027 and 2028 Congresses will play a pivotal role in advancing dialogue, fostering partnerships, and shaping strategies that support long-term, inclusive growth for the international meetings industry.
